Description

Emergency care of a pediatric patient requires special knowledge and skills – prepare yourself by taking ENPC!

ENPC, 6th Edition, is patient-presentation based, focusing on recognizing normal and abnormal findings and appropriate interventions.

Here’s a glimpse into what you’ll learn:

  • The latest pediatric emergency nursing practice recommendations
  • Systematic assessment and application of care
  • Education that can be applied to every pediatric patient you treat
  • The addition of "The Child with a Rash" and "The Child with Special Health Care Needs"
  • The reintroduction of a chapter on trauma, "The Child with an Injury"
  • "The Child in Need of Stabilization" will include resuscitation and critically ill presentations

Participants must be a registered nurse who hold a current unrestricted nursing license to receive verification.

Licensed practical nurses and paramedics are eligible to attend all portions of the course and obtain contact hours but are not eligible for provider status verification.

Presenters are ENPC instructors who are active registered nurses, have completed an ENPC instructor course and have been successfully monitored helping to teach all aspects of an ENPC provider course. Instructors teach provider courses under the guidance of an ENPC course director.

There will be pre-course work that is a requirement of this course. You will receive instructions on how to complete the pre-course work with your manual.

After receiving payment for the course, ENPC books will be sent (approximately 8 weeks prior to course). You will also receive instructions on how to complete the pre-coursework. Participants are expected to read the text and complete the online modules prior to attending the live course.

Continuing Education Contact Hours:

CNE hours (18.25) are awarded to participants regardless of their performance during testing. Verification is valid for four years.

The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Provider Unit No. P0232
