Student Opportunities

2024 Nurse Residency graduates

Faith Health accepts students for a variety of experiences including practicums, unpaid internships, field experience, clerkships, clinical rotations, preceptorships, job shadowing, externships, etc. We can provide you with positive educational experience in our organization which includes a 131-bed acute care facility, Level III Trauma Center, and over thirty medical and surgical specialties.

While you are at Faith Health, you’ll gain experience by working with a diverse group of physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, and other professionals as well as patients, families, and visitors. You'll have the opportunity to make a positive impression and provide exemplary patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Placement is not guaranteed and is contingent on the acceptance of the experience by a provider or staff member/department, the existence of an affiliation agreement between Faith Health and the student’s college/university, and completion of all onboarding requirements.

Clinician Nexus

Once a student experience, nursing clinical, or nursing preceptorship is accepted and all agreements are in place, all scheduling and onboarding will take place on Clinician Nexus, our online student management system. Clinician Nexus helps us manage affiliation agreements, student rotations, onboarding, and evaluation. The platform also allows for convenient communication between Faith Health staff, college staff, and students. There is no cost for students or colleges/universities to use this system.

If you have questions about Clinician Nexus, contact them by emailing help@cliniciannexus.com or by using their in-app chat feature. You can also find more information in their College Staff Guide and Student Guide.

For all other questions, contact Faith Health Education by calling (402) 644-7347.

College Student Experiences

Faith Health provides a robust learning experience to students in a variety of educational programs including undergraduate and graduate programs in both clinical and non-clinical areas. If you are a student or school coordinator interested in arranging a student experience, please submit a Student Rotation Information Form to tmoser@faith.health.

If the student experience is accepted, an affiliation agreement, using our standard agreement, between Faith Health and the college needs to be verified or established. Once this is complete, staff from the Faith Health Education department will collaborate with a school coordinator to enter the student into the online student management platform, Clinician Nexus. Students will be invited to create an account and complete required onboarding and orientation tasks.

The College Staff Guide and Student Guide outline the process of utilizing this platform.
