Working Across Systems: Improving Responses to Violence and Abuse is a training for MDT professionals that focuses on improving responses to violence and abuse by educating professionals to break down silos between law enforcement, health, and social services. These programs focus on trauma-informed care, survivor-centered approaches, and coordinated community responses to reduce re-traumatization and enhance safety.

Daniel J Parker, Nebraska State Patrol Investigative Officer
Nebraska State Patrol Investigator Daniel Parker is a 22-year Nebraska Law-Enforcement veteran with experience as a Deputy Sheriff, Nebraska State Trooper and has spent the last 9 years as a Nebraska State Patrol Drug Investigator working in northeast Nebraska. While working in the Drug Division, Investigator Parker has focused on many areas of drug enforcement including working postal cases, utilizing confidential informants, working cases in an undercover capacity and many other areas.
Daniel will provide an eye-opening overview of current drug trends impacting Nebraska, including marijuana, pills, and emerging substances seen in our communities. This session will be interactive, so attendees are encouraged to bring questions to the conversation. The presentation will help individuals with drug and paraphernalia identification, as well as provide additional resources for how to reach out for law-enforcement assistance when needed.
