More than Nail Cutting

Performed by a certified foot care specialist, a medical pedicure differs from a salon pedicure. First, you’ll experience a thorough foot, nail and skin evaluation to identify rough skin on heels, corns, ingrown toenails, or thick and hard nails. Medical-grade, sterilized equipment will be used to remove hard skin and corns on your feet as well as trim and shape your toenails. Performed in a private room, these pain-free techniques are often more sanitary than nail care performed at home. 

Levels of Nail Care

1. Basic Nail Care: Includes trimming, sanding, and thinning of thickened nails as well as treating mild calluses and removing corns from 2 to 3 areas. Ideal for those who obtain footcare every 6 to 12 weeks. Total cost is $50.

2. Foot Care: Includes everything in the basic nail care as well as removing corns from 4 to 5 areas. Ideal for those who have gone longer than 12 weeks between footcare but less than 6 months. Total cost is $90.

3. Foot Care Plus: Includes everything in the basic nail care treatment as well as advanced sanding of calluses and removal of corns. Ideal for those receiving footcare for the first time or if it’s been longer than 6 months since your last appointment. Total cost is $120.

All medical pedicures are paid for out-of-pocket and will not be submitted to insurance.

Is a medical pedicure right for me?

While anyone can benefit, most of time medical pedicures are suggested for those who spend a lot of time on their feet or have a difficult time caring for their feet at home. Those who suffer from an underlying condition such as diabetes, cancer, or another autoimmune disease are great candidates.
