Feeding Your Baby

Baby's Diet

If you are breastfeeding, feed on demand. Your baby may want to eat 20 minutes or hours after birth. Your baby should breastfeed 9-12 times every 24 hours. We encourage you to avoid pacifiers and supplements until breastfeeding is well established because it can confuse your baby and affect your milk supply.

If you have any breastfeeding questions, contact our certified lactation consultants at (402) 370-3661.

If you are bottle feeding, feed your baby 1-2 ounces of Similac formula every 3-4 hours and on demand around the clock. This amount will increase as your baby grows.
